Evaluation of the moisture management and air permeability of cotton/antistatic polyester knitted fabrics

This research fills in the missing knowledge on moisture management and air permeability of knitted fabrics developed using mixed cotton/antistatic polyester yarns with both antibacterial antistatic behavior to enhance their functionality. The effect knit pattern, technical side, percentage fiber mixture treatment water absorption capacity time, relative vapor resistance, was investigated. 1x1 rib half-Milano patterns were applied each 4 percentages cotton 3 types finishing prepare 24 fabrics. for range 182–231% 162–237% fabric ∼20% increase when increasing or applying treatment. time depended treatment, mixture. significantly prolonged most dyed softened samples. showed higher than treated samples increased an polyester. Research results are great practical value designing new textiles simulating mathematically comfort choosing them a particular garment.
